In the opinion of an old hunter of rice fields, myself, I think you're safe with noon. The ducks on a normal day come in at night to eat. The WORST time to hunt is late afternoon if you don't want to screw up your place. Let the other places hunt; they'll push em to you. Happened to me many times.
