Default Texas Opener

Went to my duck/deer lease this weekend to smash some ducks. Huge numbers of birds in our area right now with a majority being greys, teal, widgeon, spoonies and pintail. All five blinds limited out both days hunting 3-4 guys per blind. Even though it was opening weekend we had a tough time getting the birds in the dekes. There is so much water in the area the birds can land anywhere and prefer to land in a few inches of water making them hard to get to. We passed on teal for the most part to get some big ducks and make the hunts last.

Also made a deer hunt and killed a doe. The only bad part of the weekend was on the way down when a spike decided to run full speed into the back door of my truck. Nothing I could do going 65 on a two way road.
