Default BillyStix Custom Rods

BillyStix Custom Fishing Rods,

My name is Jared Nixon. I first learned about you & your custom rods when I joined a internet message board by the name of SaltyCajun.com. I have been fishing all my life & I have learned over the years that as an angler I can increase my chances of catching fish by using quality products. I take pride in my fishing equipment & I choose my equipment very carefully. Sometimes the smallest of things can make the difference between the catch of a lifetime and a lifetime of thinking about the one that got away.

Many anglers will spend $400 on a quality fishing reel & put it on a $10 rod. Others will go for the high quality rod & use a low end reel. Amazingly there are anglers that will spend the money & buy both a quality rod & reel and then spool the reel they paid several hundred dollars for with a roll of $10 string that has been sitting in their tackle box for 5 years! The way I see it, if you want to consistantly catch fish you must go full circle with your choice of equipment.

As I previously stated; I learned this over the course of many years of fishing. I'm not ashamed to say that I was a loyal customer of the $20 rods for many years. I just couldn't understand why someone would spend $200 on a fishing rod. Well that all changed the first time a friend of mine let me cast one of his. I'll never forget the feel of that rod in my hand as I casted his lure into the water. I was able to easily cast twice as far using the same lure with his rod with half the effort & the accuracy was amazing. That day truly changed my life & my freezer has never looked the same either!

Over the years I have inquired about several custom built rods from custom rod builders like yourself. Most of the builders I found were on the internet & had online forms to fill out to get a quote on what you wanted. If I can simply click on a drop down menu to pick out predetermined features of a fishing rod off of a website, how exactly is that a custom built rod? It seems to me that those rods are more than likely mass produced & sold under the "custom built" feel good name. To me, custom built means "One of a kind". This rod is supposed to be custom built to my specifications, not the specs of some drop down menu on a website. What's custom about that? That is where you & your company stand apart from the competition. I sent you a message a few weeks ago concerning a custom built BillyStix rod for my wife. I fully expected a response similar to the responses of other custom builders in the past. Something like, "well that would be $250 + shipping. When do you need it?". The reply you sent me, for a lack of better words, blew me out of the water! You picked apart every specific detail of my inquiry & fully explained all of them in detail. Not only did you answer every question I had concerning the rod but you also put this @ the bottom of your reply:

As you can see there are many things for you and i to discuss before the building of your wife's lovely new custom billystix, i will promise you this, when you give her the new custom billystix she will have a smile from ear to ear and most likley do a double flip this i promise, so take a minute and give me a call and lets talk,"lets do it right the first time "
looking forward to talking with you.

To me, customer service means alot. I was really impressed that not only did you reply almost immediately to my message, but you also invited me to give you a call & discuss it all in greater detail. It's very easy to see why so many people on this site highly reccomend your rods to other members. I haven't even ordered my wifes new BillyStix rod yet & I'm already excited about having you build one for me too!

Thanks so much for putting the customer first in your business. I can't wait to do business with you. I already know that I won't be disapointed.

Sincerely,

Jared Nixon
