Made it to Hackberry today full of anticipation for a great long weekend with my dad. Launched the boat and everything was great for about 1 minute. Motor kills and wouldn't start again. Had to use all of my mechanic skills of which I have none but found I had a cracked fuel hose. Changed out the hose, got the boat running and we head out to horrible winds . In 3 hours we have one keeper and decided to go drink beer instead.
On the plus side I ate my first Darrels Surf and Turf which was fantastic. Going to try to find fish tomorrow.
