Better to live the broke college life for 4 years and make up for it with that 4 year degree, it will pay for itself in the long run. Bust your butt for 4 years and make contacts and you can also get an internship as well once you get up the road a little bit. Some places offer student employment as well. Best thing would be to get a little lawnmowing side gig for the weekends/afternoons and that will allow you to at least buy good beer
If you go the engineering route, you will probably be bound to the books for a good while as its a difficult curriculum. I failed out of my first attempt at college due to duck hunting and what I would do to have that year back.
oh, and you will have a meal card and the food is usually pretty good, so you don't really have many expenses other than extracurricular activities
