Like simple peddler says don't be afraid to to fish the intracoastal. There are lots of drains into the IC that give up fish. Look for clean water. It's a beautiful area this time of the year. I used to have a hunting lease and camp south of Bayou Black and did a lot of fishing there. It is a huge area and not the kind of place you want to get caught up fishing "spots". Look for clean moving water. You'll notice trends, dead end canals, gass along long pipeline canals, run outs etc. Once you start to see them it'll get easier. Good luck.
