My ex-brother in law caught a big Bass on Toledo Bend and wanted to have it mounted.
The taxidermist who mounted it said after he thawed the Bass out and started skinning it, he stuck his hand in it's mouth to hold the Bass and it had swallowed a small moccasin. His finger had stuck into the moccasin's mouth and it stuck him with out actually knowing what picked him. A few minutes later, he felt sick and dizzy. He went to the hospital and was treated for a snake bite. He said he never was bitten by a snake. When he got home, the thawed snaked was dead, but had slipped out of the Bass' mouth and onto the table.
He said it was the most expensive loss he ever took mounting a fish.
