Default 12-10-12 Moss Lake

First I want to say the wind forecast for this morning is all wrong r I read it wrong. Had the urge to make a trip this morning so I stayed close to the house and took a ride down to Moss Lake and it turned out to be a good trip and I soon forgot about the wind blowing and the chill in the air. Got my limit the way I like all on top water and the bait of choice today was the red head skitter walk. I think the trout had an extra coat of slime on them today. Nothing to brag about as far as size but had no throwback. It is a good way to start the week.

The water had a little stain to it and was running from 61 to 63 degrees. The tide was outgoing and there was a steady wind. The skitter walk was connected to a Lew’s reel which was on a Calcasieu Xtreame Rod that was made just for topwater and it is a beast.
