Sunday Morning Trout Slam!
Nov. 18, A beautiful morning on the DU! Slick calm and the trout ate up like pirahna's !!! Walter Voorhies was back on the DU and looking for big numbers of trout. Always a pleasure to fish with Walter. I knew we were going to crush the fish when I saw Walter was wearing his signature gold fishing shirt. Walters daughter and her friend joined us for a fish slaying morning on the DU! The Big Eye,bunker swim baits and LSU chubs did the damage. We found the trout suspended on the reefs and also in the bayous. The Sister Lake/Lake Mechant area is hard to beat for great fall fishing. We called it quits around 10:45 am with 90 trout and 5 reds. Our fish were caught on a falling tide just like the 4 previous days! Got in a good nap before the Saints game as all is good on the DU!
