Awesome Trout Slam
Got an early start from the Lakehouse Lodge with 5 boats looking to whack the trout. We did just that!! After everyone loading up with live croakers or shrimp we fanned out across the DU with everyone catching fish today. I fished with Billy Bertrand and Bubba Phillips and boy did they have a grand time reeling in the trout. We found them stacked up at 2 of our 3 stops with many fish over 3lbs. The bull reds were active and really interupted our trout catching. We caught fish on the beach this morning and at the offshore platforms. We had no problem catching our 75 fish limit along with some nice reds. Big thanks to the other great guys as Capt Josh fished with Jeremy Simpson & crew, Capt Gerald fished with Track Kavanaugh and crew, Capt Brady had a good trip with Steve Espinosa and his wife and 2 daughters.
