Best advice I could give is when the basin is rising and falling frogs are constantly moving. Hit spots that at the current water level have not yet been hit. This can be difficult...

We catch most of our frogs in the middle of the swamp, not on banks. But as the hyacinth gets taller this becomes much much harder.

As for best times, my favorite time is the first warm south wind blowing in February/March. However I've caught frogs in December and January for that matter...
