I have the propane one. Works great. Doesn't turn on until it senses water flow. Will give you steady hot water until you turn off the faucet. You will still need an electrical outlet to run the electronics on it. It has a digital display that mounts somewhere in your home that will allow you to control the water temp and stuff like that. I think mine has a setting will allow it to turn itself off if the amount of water flow doest meet my specified setting. Basically if I don't completely turn off the kitchen sink after a few minutes it will still flow but it will stop heating. If it senses a higher volume of water (bath or shower) it will run until I turn the faucet off.
