Picking one up today. Allows you to Bluetooth with your phone and send texts and emails to loved ones. There's also a tracking function so family can get on Google maps and see where you are in the world......it will send "all is OK" signals as it updates the maps. Only probably I see is you can't receive messages back. And of course, it has the emergency "come get me my boat sunk!" Function.
