I'm about to have our little one also any day now..... I have Blue Cross/blue Shield of New York through my employer ... My wife lined everything up before hand that way once the baby is born all we have to do is call and add her name once she is 24 hours old....but she is covered at time of birth thought me....
Once you get the SS# you will just have to call and add that info...
Make sure you also change all your beneficiary to your baby if its your 1st ( if you want too)
