Made a trip with three friends today to BL. I have been keeping up with all of you guys great reports and trying to learn as much as possible. As I put the boat in the water this morning at 6:10 I was confident that we would be able to boat a good mess of trout. I have been paying attention to the baits from the reports, the tides, and as much about locations as I could. I started at the old jetties then hit the west cove then made the long trip up to Turner's Bay and fished around the Bay as well as the island in the middle.

Ended the day with a BIG FAT GOOSE EGG! After putting this much preperation and effort into a fishing trip a day like this is very dicouraging.

The water was beautiful everywhere except for the South East side of the Lake, Not sure what I am doing wrong in the lake but a day like this makes me look forward to offshore fishing season that much more.

Glad everyone else on here had a good day on the water. I know a bad day fishing is better than a good day in the office, and I am grateful that I was able to experience the outdoors with good friends today.

As always thanks for all the reports and advice. Wish I had a box shot to show but not today.
