We do well for wood ducks in little bayous with oak trees. You have to put the time in to scout and find out where they are at...I have a 10ft jo boat with a trolling motor i use to get around in those skinny bayous...Not sure about the whole drift thing... I set up a blind against the bank and throw out a half dozen decoys...when the sun starts coming up and you hear them whistling i start calling to them...I try to move my blind every 3 days so I don't chase them out of an area...
