I've got the Mil-Spec Springfield. Performs great out of the box. I modified it with a beavertail grip safety, which it really did need for me. 1911's like to bite the web of my hand. I've got a 1943 Ithica and the Springfield works just as good as the WWII USGI, but better in that it eats hollowpoint ammo. I would without hesitation buy another. Mine has only had one FTF and that was due to cheapo reloads. No jams, no stovepipes. I like the sights though, probably since I'm not used to really good sights and I don't know any better. They say ignorance is bliss.

The price is right for these and they are good pistols.
