Dularge Redfish Slam 11-10-2011
Day one with my Texas group started out looking bad. 30+ mph winds, cold temps, and LOW LOW water is what we were faced with. Billy Myers, Ryan Jennings, and Chuck Ellis had faith in me to put them on some fish and that is what we did! Plan A - trout fishing went out the window quick as we only found one trout to make it to the icechest. Our first stop for reds had them coming into the boat one after another and the Burn Hacks started flying!! Once the bite slowed down we moved roughly 300 yards away and it was a done deal. With 20 reds in the box and another 20 + released to fight again. The reds, puppy drum, and bay snapper could not resist our shrimp under a cork and these guys loved every second of battling these brutes!! With our limits caught and plenty more released we headed in. Big thanks to Capt Rob DuPont for running the second boat with the other half of the crew, as they had a blast also.
