Default 10.23.11 Easy Pickins' on Big Lake

Made a short trip to Big Lake this morning to take advantage of the beautiful weather. We could hear gulls everywhere onced we stopped on our first spot but it was still dark so we couldn't quite see them yet. That didn't matter because it was on from the first cast. Anchored up on the first reef of the day and whacked 'em for about 45 minutes or so. We were catching a mixed bag of specks, reds, and nice sized sandies on anchor just about every cast. Once the bite stopped we had most of our specks, so we hit a flock of birds (they were EVERYWHERE today!) to finish off our last 5 or 6 fish. We tricked all of our fish today with the faithful glow/chartreuse Norton Sand Eel. I threw a she dog for a while and only had a few blow ups and 2 throwback specks. The water looked great everywhere in the lake. All in all, a great morning on Little Big Lake and we got off the water early before the wind started blowing.
