Those were the days it took longer to push your sports to deep water than it did to kill your birds. Also in JB yesterday, sports were late and got in the blind @ 7:05 killed our 12th bird about 9:30. Teal were flaring off of the robo, had to turn it off for them to decoy. I HATE robos but on sunshiny days the blue wings eat em up. Not so much in the overcast.
we had to leave for 8 due to church, but i debated on pulling robo up but never did, we had the birds to limit but not the shooting unfortunately, not much was flying after 7:00 on our side. As far as the water is concerned, my big pond that I hunt is probably 18" deep at the deepest spot and where I'm hunting is probably around a 10" average. I think this is an ideal level for the grass, birds, hunters, and dog. The dog doesnt have to swim, it's easier for me to walk the marsh, and I can still access my spots easily with my longtail. I'm thinking Jchief should be posting a report soon with yesterdays pics.
