Default My buddy and his trophy

A buddy and I decided to head out and enjoy this beautiful weather for an evening fishing trip. We planned on fishing the last couple of hours in Turners hoping to find some schooling trout or run across some birds picking. We were in the water for 430 pm and made quick trip to Black Lake only to find the water heavily stained and no bait or birds. We then ran to Turners which was also muddy and a good north wind blowing. We drifted reefs for a bit then decided to move due to muddy water. We then ran to ship channel across from LNG-Hackberry and water was muddy there with a strong tide. We then decided to just enjoy the weather and just cruise around on the east side of lake looking for better water- Got to Heberts and water still stained so we decided to spend last part on evening in Turners over a reef. Fished for a bit and my buddy hung in to his trophy in the picture. He fought it for 20 minutes and was so excited. He was as happy as a fat kid eating cake. He was doing cartwheels in the boat. He said it was his best fish he ever caught and wanted to hang it on his wall. He was mad at me for not letting him keep it so he just took several pics with it, talked to it, hugged it a bit and even kissed it before letting it go. I even thought my buddy was going to cry as he released it. After catching his trophy, we both decided to call it a day and head in little early. Fishing was bad but the day was beautiful.
