Default First Trip Offshore!

Left out of Cocodrie Thursday afternoon to find what I was told was calm seas. Ran out about 70 miles and found a rip, I was able to land some chicken dolphin and bar jacks on my fly rod! We kept a few nice chicken dolphin and then headed out another 30 miles to our destination. Hooked up with a yellow fin within minutes and I landed my first tuna. Stayed the night at that floater and fished for a while yesterday morning landing bunches of black fin and one more yellowfin. Started heading back in and got on a snapper bite that was phenomenal with five fish going over 20 pounds. All and all a great trip with great people. Pretty intense having never been offshore to go for an overnighter but well worth the temporary nausea and the 10 hours it took me to stop thinking I was rocking back and forth on land.
