I learned oyster "bayou" is very shallow.
Good fishing though.I found a nice reef that even holds trout all the way at the end of oyster ditch is what I call it. Where the ditch comes to a T where you go right to go to the gulf/mound point area. Instead of going that route take a left.Make sure you hug the bank to your right maybe 100 yards or so down the cut there is a nice reef on the left bank. Used to smoke the reds,flounder,and specks right there. Very long run from the point,bring extra gas....sometimes you never see another boat out there.
