The only reason everyone started to care about weight was when the star tourny started before that it was the Dirty 30 Club Now its the Dirty 30 Club with a twist now you have to have the 30 plus the weight and you better have a pic to make it count LOL. I am proud to say that I caught my 30 3 yrs ago do I think it makes me better than anyone else no but it looks good on my coffee table LOL. I dont think an 8 lb trout should be considered anything but an eight pound trout, without length you have nothing but a fish a nice fish but still a fish none the less.
Just my opinion.
