It does fine in rough water,unless you a running with a crosswind then you will get wet no matter what boat. Head on or quartering the waves is no problem. We had it in some 3-4 footers in toledo bend this spring running 40mph no problem. Gets even smoother at 50mph,but gets a lil air.
My dad has a non hpdi vmax 225 and it runs 65mph with a light fuel load. It also floats in 10-11" of water.
