Met a buddy at White Oak at 5 pm yesterday afternoon. We went north thinking the water would be pretty. Found it churned up from all the boat traffic. There were people tubing way up north and running around bends with kids behind the boat. I don't understand it
? The water was much prettier south of White Oak and we found some calm back waters where we had a little luck. Picked up 5 bass on topwater (spooks) and a couple more on Traps. All bites were very late as in after 730pm. Nothing over 2 pounds but not bad for a three hour trip. First time on the river this year and the water is right if the boat traffic calms down. Should get good soon!
