Here's something that you all should know.
In the state of Louisiana, it is legal to pass on a two lane highway in designated areas. We all know that. In order to make a proper, legal pass, the driver passing must use his signal, have his headlights on and
BLOW HIS HORN in the process of making the pass. I bet no one knew the last part!
The reason I know this is because I have a client that passed in a passing zone and did everything but BLOW HIS HORN and now, he has been deemed 20% liable for an accident when he passed a man who turned left into him!
Personally, I think it's an unsafe action but, by way of law, it is required. I just wanted to pass this information along so that maybe it will help keep the liability down for someone here.
