Windy day on the DU! Worked over the reds today with Andre Guerin & crew from Lafayette. Tried everything in the box and the reds only wanted gold spoons. We fished ponds with lots of grass and it paid off. We had over a foot chop where we were fishing and still managed to hook up with nearly 30 reds. No telling how many we could have caught in good conditions! We had to drag the powerpole to slow the drift down. The reds were aggressive on the falling tide but slowed up after the switch. The guys had fun although they really wanted to jump on the trout. They'll have another chance on June 24th. Final tally was 19 reds, 2 flounder, 2 trout and 1 nice bass. Good luck fishing.
