I just use a noodle with a mainline with a couple of loops from the mainline( I usually fish 2 hooks) and add a weight to the bottom of the line. Doesnt take a huge weight to hold the noodle in place,as long as the weight is on the bottom of course and provided you dont have a ripping current.
I also use pvc pipes through my noodles with cotter keys to tie to.
