Lake Charles police arrested a fifth person on Monday in connection with the shooting death of Daniel Gueringer, 20, according to documents.
Taylor Ryan Johnson, 20, of Iowa has been identified as the “uninvited guest” who showed up at a Fourth of July party at 4030 W. Prien Lake Road.
He is charged with inciting a riot and criminal conspiracy.
According to records, Johnson attempted to start a fight with several subjects at the party by bumping them and elbowing them. After being told to leave the party, Johnson called Bryce Wayne Perkins, 23, and Austin Michael Rousseau, 20, to meet him at the house.
During an argument between Johnson, Perkins and Rousseau and other party-goers, Perkins allegedly shot Gueringer, who detectives say was trying to break up a fight.
The report states that Johnson was overheard by several people saying he was going to kill someone.
