Tell your kids all day everyday how much you love them! You never know when this can happen to them or even you. A few years back my best friends little brother was going to work at 3:30am on a Tuesday and a drunk girl 22 killed him. He was 21. I hug my son(4) and step son(11) all the time. They thinks I'm wierd. And I always solve problems asap when we yell and have issues.
Two things you should do every day: hug your wife and kids and thank a soldier for allowing you to have the freedom to do so.
My God's plan for these kids and their families guide them through these times.
