Hurricane Season Phase II Alert: Voluntary Evacuation
This is NOT a DRILL.


Port Fourchon is in Phase II of the GLPC Hurricane Plan, which is Voluntary Evacuation. This means that tropical force winds are expected to be in Port Fourchon within 72 hours.

Please begin securing or moving equipment out of port and determine the intentions and/or special needs of all vessels and personnel at your facilities in the port. Review your facility’s hurricane plan, be thoughtful of stockpiling any loose material or excess items that could fly or be damaged if Port Fourchon is affected by a hurricane, and make sure the Port Commission has your facility’s updated contact information so that you can be kept abreast of storm-related information. Please update your RallyPoint Crisis Communication profile, especially contact information and possible evacuation locations. You can find contact updating forms on www.portfourchon.com's "WEATHER AND STORM INFO" page.

You can get up-to-date information on the approaching storm by calling the port’s Public Information Line daily at 985-798-5335, checking for emergency notification updates from the Port Commission via e-mail, text, or fax, or online at www.portfourchon.com.

Be prepared to check in using your RallyPoint Crisis Communication Card when you evacuate, after a storm has passed, and any time you move locations.
