If you are planning to serve some Jambalaya........make the "stock" [everythng but the rice and only a minimum amount of water] at home. Freeze this in small containers.

Then all you have to do is take out what you need.......add some water and heat to unthaw before adding the rice to cook.

When making a big batch of Jambalaya.....I will boil the chicken [only using a little water] in a seperate pot and then remove the bones. This way you do not have the extra "mess" of the bones when eating.
