my wife shoots the 380 sig. I recommend a double action if your shooting an auto. You dont have to worry about chambering a round before you shoot. YOu can safely leave a round in the chamber and then de-**** it . From there you just pick up the gun and squeeze the trigger. I also use some buffalo bore ammo, its some hot loads which pretty much bring the ftlbs. up into 9mm specks. You just have to make sure your wife is comfortable with the gun and is fairly accurate with it. If she is scared of it, she wont want to fool with it.
