Do they have weirs over there???

Capt. Matt Caire 04-27-2010 11:46 PM

Miles Larose won it. He is young. He is friends wit a buddy of mine

Pole_benda 04-28-2010 07:30 AM

Yeah Miles and Beau won. I had to opportunity to fish with those awesome guys down there. My buddy was prefishing with his grand son when his cranking battery went dead. I went to his aid and could do very little for him. He even popped a fuse for his engine. Miles and Beau came by and lent him their spare battery and I swapped it out for him. Miles and I also on a team effort not to lose the spare fuse swapped out the blow one. When then shared a bit of info together on where we were finding fish and stayed in contact through the day. Later that evening they met up with us before the Capt's meeting and we bought them some beers and shared some stories.
During the Capt's meeting raffle give away I was fortunate to win a few rapala lures, case of yamalube (2-stroke oil), partner won a case of yamalube (4-stroke oil), also won a power pole wave stabilizer. My buddy that got stuck won a dip nip and so did Miles. Now for the big prize (the minn-kota trolling motor), it went to Miles. I guess you can say our dinner table had a clean sweep and it was great time.
Unfortunately they postponed the tourney on Saturday and rescheduled for Sunday. I needed to be back at work at 06pm that evening, so I couldnt fish the tourney. My partner could have filled in with a alternate (one of Miles buddy's from Reggio) but he needed to be on a plane at 3pm. So we kind of screwed the pooch on that one.
But that win couldnt have gone to any better guys than Miles and Beau.
