New CCW

I'm looking for a concealed carry weapon. I'm looking for something that's going to put a hole in someone but at the same time isn't screaming, "hey look this dude has a gun on him." So far its looking like .38 special snub nosed revolver. I know I dont want anything of .20 caliber range because I dont feel that there is enough stopping power. I dont care if its a revolver or a semi-auto. Any suggestions??? thanks

How does Kahr stack up against say a glock or sig? Not familiar with them.

Depends how your built. I'm 5'5 190lbs. I carry a full size Smith and Wesson M&P .40 everyday. Sometimes with a tucked shirt sometime without. I have no problem keeping it hidden. I use an IWB leather / kydex holster worn at the 3:30 position with slight forward cant. There are sometimes I forget I have it on. We've gone out to eat and around different places and haven't been noticed. Even with a tucked in shirt.

Also, Kahr is a very nice gun. There are a lot of nice guns. All depends on what feels best for you. When I bought my M&P, I was set on buying a Glock. But after trying them side by side, the M&P fit me better.

I've been carrying for quite some time and I picked up a Taurus PT709 a few months ago. It is a single stack 9mm and the size is just right.

I carry it IWB in an Uncle Mike's holster but it's easy to slip in the front pocket of slacks or a pair of shorts for those in-and-out trips to WalMart.

I went through the ceremonial break down, cleaning, and Wilson Ultimalube and headed to the range. I haven't had one issue with this gun. I've been carrying it more and more. It is thin (actually called the 709 "slim") and has enough grip where you can get a good hand on it and maintain control.

Check it out before you decide on something.
