went out with dad on saturday. we launched around 8 am at Dugas landing. fished our way south from there, i found a lot of bait and some good water but the big trout didn't want to give it up.

we tied on gulps and had 15-20 reds in one 100 yard drift. went back to grinding for trout with no luck. saw a few texas boats wading for specks, things must be slow in galveston & mattygorda.

i kept 10 of the 20" size reds, actually trimmed the red line out of the fillets and fried them up. made redfish soft tacos with all the fixins. came out really really good.
