Growing bigger turkeys

Wanted to try turkey hunting year. Have a whole flock of jakes visit my corn pile in January. Our rules state the birds have to have a 6" beard to shoot them. Anything I can put out to help beard growth? Thinking something they use at those chicken houses to grow the chickens quick

please post a picture of where you see the beards have to be 6". the regulations just state that the limit is 2 gobblers a season, it doesn't say how long the beard length has to be. been hunting turkeys all my life and this is the first I have heard of this one. also don't hunt over corn or even be within 200 yards of a baited site.

It's our club rule. I am going to turn off me feeder a week before the season. We have a four point or better rule in place also to let out bucks get some age on them before they get shot

At my deer club, we have a rule. When you come across one of those bucks with just nubs and no antlers....we take them out. Obviously they have something wrong with them.

That keeps those young inferior bucks from reproducing

One week is not long enough..... you could still get a ticket. Read page 47 in the hunting regulations.

Just wait until the turkeys eat all the corn off the ground before you shoot. Problem solved.

Nope..... that still would not be legal. Read page 47 in the Hunting Regulations booklet.

Don't listen to them, do not read page 47.
