I have never been scared in wind but we were in the duck blind this morning and the whole thig was shaking. Very scary. Easily 35-40 mph winds. I took some pics. I'm making a report later and will show them

We are still on the front side of the worst of it, but we already have several trees down around my house from the saturated ground and strong winds. Hope everyone stays safe on this CHRIStmas eve

My parents had a tornado in their neighborhood this morning, but luckily the only damage was to a glass & lock shop a couple of blocks over..........it tore the whole roof off of the shop. My parents only had to pick some of the tin roof out of their yard and go get their garbage can down the road.

I am about 60 miles South of the mouth of the Miss. River.
It has been windy, but the bad stuff is just now hitting us.

yak'em-n-stack'em 12-24-2009 07:02 PM

Ray, i thought that you were home judging by the wind, thats the first thing i thought while my hat blew off my head, is ray back on shore

I flew offshore Tues. morning.
We had a helicopter turn over on the heliport on one of our platforms while
the blades were turning today.

yellalilyslicker, you are correct. Duckaholic's house was damaged, but not like others in the area. FFF lives in the same subdivision, but his house escaped with out any damage. Several brick homes totally destroyed! I couldn't believe my eyes when I went to help out Duckaholic this afternoon.
