my all time favorite..........this pot dropped out of a pickup in what I remember is 1972-74 or so and my dad braised it back together.......

these pics are from last November......they are still in the family and cooking

I held a torch with my brother heating the cast while dad braised it

My dad is a hero like that

These are my new favorites.......
One is a "Favorite Piqua" flat bottom in 5 Quart
the other is a "Wagnor" scotch bowl in 3 quart ( I have a five too )

these are each over 70 years old.
and they are a vision of the bride and my's new life as empty nesters.......

Got a 16qt like that and it was braised back in the early 70's too. Pot cooks like a champ.

The big skillet is my first piece of iron. My dad bought it for me about 18 years ago. I use that baby once or twice a week.
The little oval skillet was a fajita skillet at a mexican restaurant my wife and I go to. I asked one of the owner's if I could buy one of them and was promptly told no. A few minutes later she came back with one and put it on our table. She said you can't buy one but you can have one. I was very thankful for that. That's my grilled cheese skillet. :)
