Kids need duck stamp

I know kids under 16 don't need a hunting license but do they need a federal or state duck stamp? What about HIP certificate?

Thanks.

Ray 12-16-2009 01:50 PM

Everyone needs a HIP.
I never bought a stamp till I was 16.
Not sure how it works now.

wtretrievers 12-16-2009 01:51 PM

Don't know about the duck stamp, but they don't need the HIP. Just something show that their under 16 like their hunters ed card.

Jordan 12-16-2009 01:51 PM

i think if they have a license, they need a stamp... look on the WLF website...

You do NOT need a duck stamp until you have to buy a license in the state of LA (age 16). To get a license, the kids now need a hunter ed card.

I was rong again.

Ray 12-16-2009 01:59 PM

Why have a HIP program if you don't count the ducks killed by kids?
When I was under 16, I was killin 10 ducks a day when I hunted.

I have my hunters Ed card, but whats HIP?

Ray 12-16-2009 09:29 PM

http://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/hunting...certification/

huntin fool 12-16-2009 09:32 PM

They don't need the HIP if under 16

There is no cost for the certification. Migratory bird hunters who do not require hunting licenses, such as 15 year-olds and younger, are also encouraged to become HIP certified.

Ray 12-16-2009 09:34 PM

It is mandatory for LICENSED hunters.

speck-chaser 12-16-2009 11:09 PM

I saw on ESPN News that some new pro bowler won some kind of big championship for the first time. He was wearing a camo bowling shirt.
I was guessing he was a redneckerson type.
