More Stuffed Peppers

I love stuffed peppers and being able to go pick what you need when you need is so good. Did these different than the last ones. No marinara. Diced tomatoes and peppers, oregano, cumin, garlic, salt and pepper. Added pepper jack and of course buttered wheat bread. Yummy stuff.

I made some last week from the facebook that was floating around.

Cut some bell peppers in half, melted a stick of butter, sweated down an onion, then an 8oz package of mushrooms, threw in 1lb of deli sliced roast beef. Let that cook for 5-10 minutes.

Put the bell peppers in a pan, half a slice of pepperjack in the pepper, fill it the rest of the way with meat, then cover with a slice of pepper jack and bake them at 400 till the cheese browns a little. They were pretty good.

Sounds great. What brand roast beef if you don't mind me asking. My favorite is the Manda brand you can get at Sam's in 2lb packs. I love their roast beef but their sausage not at all.

I used the Rouses with garlic, I also like Manda Roast beef. I'll have to look for it at Sams. I like the sliced meat Sams that comes in the black container with a clear lid. The Turkey is real good.

Looks really good I like to stuff them with a crawfish or lump crab meat stuffing for special occasions too. Our peppers are kinda small for stuffing but they are big time on sale this time of the year any wheres. We use ours for chopping and seasoning and buy a few monsters for stuffing they 3 for a dollar at the pig this week. That makes 6 halfs and 3 meals for me and Peg.

Love me some butter bread gunner. I have it with just about everything. My jokes with me because I have it with chicken and dumplings. Says I have a meal made of bread and still have buttered bread with it. Lol

For the original post, I like your idea of no marinara, what about some bacon in those onions?
