Cleaning a fiberglass boat with a Steam Cleaner

I am looking at purchasing a steam cleaner to clean the ceramic tile/grout in my home and it got me thinking of other ways I could use the new toy. After watching a few videos of how much crap it gets out of the grout line on floors, I thought it might not be a bad idea for getting tough stains out of the boat. Anyone ever clean the deck of their boat with a steam cleaner?

I'm thinking it may be a good idea since you don't have to use any chemicals so I don't think it will weaken the fiberglass or make it chalky. It may take the wax off the deck so that may need to be reapplied but that's not too big of a deal.

Anyone ever done this and has it worked for them? Can anyone think of any reasons why this would be a bad idea?

We have a shark steam cleaner but I have never thought of using it for cleaning the boat deck. Will give it a try and report back.
How good it cleans the tile well it does ok but nothing like the video. It takes some scrubbing on some spots on the tile. I have to put my foot on top of the head to scrub some dirt up at times. It came from Bed Bath and Beyond.

After going over a section of the floor about 10-15 strokes it just picked up some dirt. The stains and marks didn't even start to go away. The stains or shoe marks on the floor were still there and didn't loosen up till I sprayed a kitchen cleaner with bleach. So for me I will stick with the starbrite boat cleaner with PTEF. After all most advertisements are a little misleading.

Well that's not what I wanted to hear but thanks for giving it a shot.

Be careful I have used commercial steam cleaners in kitchens that would pit the gel coat on a boat if used on high pressure.
