Getting some paint on it this week, be running a 2000 model mariner with a little bit cajunchistians magic done to it. I forgot how much fun it is setting up a new rig.

Who built it and where'd you get the trailer from? I need to start my mud boat build soon.

Natural Light Kid 04-28-2015 09:09 AM

Size?

j.e.hagen 04-29-2015 03:44 PM

Eric Richard built it, it's 17x48 and I asked for the 5ft deck, I ordered the trailer from boattrailerdirect.com it will fit up to a 19ft boat. The trailer is all aluminum and came with stainless hardware oversized tires, led lights and a torsion axle, after tt&l, it was 2100 which I gladly spent for a quality trailer

Sweet set up. Who's painting it?

j.e.hagen 04-29-2015 05:34 PM

A buddy of mine, I wasn't planning on painting it at all until someone made the point that you'll tan parts of your body that shouldn't see sunlight lol

Great looking boat. Is that bench in the middle removable?

RichWentFishing504 04-29-2015 06:16 PM

You can acid wash the boat. That will take out the shine.

j.e.hagen 04-29-2015 06:26 PM

Dsdc the seat is removable, I wanted it for when we frog or jug, prolly won't use it while actual fishing. Rich i was originally going to do that but when my buddy said he would do all the prep work and painting for the price I figured it'd be worth the little extra money to have it look right.

The next step is the floor, I want hydroturf but I don't want any seams and they don't have a sheet big enough to completely cover the deck

Very nice ! Keep the pics coming :D

DSDC 04-29-2015 07:22 PM

Where do you buy the HydroTurf and how does it hold up?

j.e.hagen 04-29-2015 07:48 PM

Never bought it, but you can order from hydroturf.com or amazon or eBay, everyone I know that's got it loves it. They just size the sheets funny

You can use scraps of the hydroturf to trim the seams of the two pieces it cleans the seams up good. I have HT on my alum flat boat best stuff made to cover alum boats.
