Marina:

I would like to get some feedback on the idea of a new, full service marina that would be located on the ship channel in the Hackberry area. It would evently have some rental cabins as well for the out of towners. Also, if it had a boat lift to remove your boat from your trailer in order to do trailer maintence. Please let me know what you think about this idea. Thanks:rolleyes:

I'd be all over that seeing that I have a 3 hr drive and I try to come twice a month for the weekend. I normally stay at A+ motel would love something closer.

I think it would be a great idea, and if you will have covered boat storage with lifts you could make a lot of money just on renting that

Ed32 02-22-2015 11:34 PM

I think a restaurant and boat stalls with lifts for rent would be a great idea. as i said in the last post about this i've been on the waiting list at spicers for a while. And the only place to grab a bite to eat after fishing is the rec center.

juicegoose 02-23-2015 09:28 AM

For the love of all things sweet and pure in this world please for the love of baby infant jesus sell 24/7 gas. Don't get me wrong love spicers but it would be nice to have access to gas year round 24/7 and not have to go down the canal.

patque 02-23-2015 09:53 AM

My plans are to have all that and more! I want a state of the art marina like no other.

juicegoose 02-23-2015 01:15 PM

If you build it right it would work
For sure the hackberry side would see more traffic then the east side but man it sure would be nice to have a nice marina on the east side with fuel and food

Yea that's what I said in another post. The guy started this thread in two different places on Salty. Don't know why he did that but I commented on the other post and later saw this one too.

Yup I'm replying to both in hopes to get the 24/7 fuel.

I suspect it'll be a pipedream.

East side would be nice, and you can count me in for a slip!

murfdawg 02-23-2015 04:19 PM

DO IT!!!!

BloodKnot 02-23-2015 04:52 PM

It would be very nice!

swampman46 02-23-2015 05:31 PM

And when that one is finished, how about doing the same in the Josephs Harbor/Price Lake Rd area. Alot of people would jump all over that too.

I'll tell you what I told Camp Canard, keep some wet slips to rent by the day. $15/day turns into some money

I think if the east side had better facilities it would short stop those that go to hackberry from the east, and entice more folks from the east to go that don't already.

I can provide fuel and lubricants.
