saute86 01-21-2015 04:19 PM

Duffy.yyz 01-21-2015 04:22 PM

Who would I need to get in touch with in order to use it?

saute86 01-21-2015 04:35 PM

No clue. Its only a 15 minute run from Rossinol Rd. Launch.

saute86 01-21-2015 04:37 PM

Its Sweet Lake Land and Oil or Laccassine Co. property I think.

Duffy.yyz 01-21-2015 04:45 PM

You say you were there Monday...by boat or by vehicle?

saute86 01-21-2015 05:22 PM

Boat. I launch at Rossinol Rd. Water was stained and temp was 52 degrees. I only caught 2 bass.

Duffy.yyz 01-21-2015 05:24 PM

I have never even been in the Bell City Drainage Canal. Wouldn't know where to start. Are there ditches that run-off into the canal - clear dark water anywhere?

The bass picture was Monday and the sac was this summer. Don't worry about the BCDD the fishing sux.....lol. The water quality isn't good right now but a few weeks after they plant rice it starts to clear up. In the summer it looks like the reserve the water is so clear.

Duffy.yyz 01-21-2015 05:38 PM

That is good to know! Thanks.

It was like that at the landing last week too. It cleared some in the back of Humble. Hydro the only clear water on this end of the state is probably at Old River.

This place. Its an old part of Sabine river that's damned off from the main river and is always clear. Has an average depth of 17 ft.

When you start hearing banjo's playing in the background, just go a little further :D ...
