2008 gmc acadia

The wife looking for a new vehicle and were are looking at a beautiful Acadia
But I'm reading some pretty rough reviews, problems, and nightmares about these. Any salty Cajun brothers have any experience or know anyone who could have some input ?

Thanks for any help

Had a 2012 that we bought second hand(it was a year old) got rid of it in the first year due to it staying in the shop and never having the issues resolved. After reading all the reviews on the motor issues we traded it in on a new Explorer and haven't looked back. The particular problem that we had was the dash lights would randomly go bright then back to normal all the time. GMC looked at the issue 3 times under warranty and said that is what they are supposed to do....

My in-laws have an 10 Acadia. They had a fuel pump issue that was handled under warranty. It rides good but doesnt handle very well.

Friend of mine bought one for his wife. I think it's a 2013, been in the shop half a dozen or so times. Once was for a trans. replacement and she's still having issues with it.

My daughter and her husband have an Acadia that is "several" years old and they seem to have had more mechanical problems with it than would seem normal. The transmission problems have been the biggest headache for them, two of which were repaired under warranty and then once they had to pay for it. They love the vehicle otherwise, but would not buy another one.

We had an 09 that stayed in the shop the entire time we had it. Got rid of it after 12 months.

My in-laws didn't have good luck with theirs either.

My lovely wife has an 08, she likes it I think it sucks. It's been paid for a long time ago so we will keep it. Only problem we had was a fuel filter problem. Have 115 000 miles

riding and handling are 2 different animals-rarely do they ever intermingle.

I personally don't have a need our SUV to handle. :)

I bought my wife one new in 2008. After being in the shop for many different reasons within the first 6 months, I had them buy it back under lemon law.

My sister n law had many problems with hers. Kept it bout a year then got rid of it for a ford.

2008 gmc acadia

2008....if it's silver and has gray leather interior with around 73,000 miles stay away from it. Neighbor traded hers in on a Honda in Sulphur. It had been in and out of the shop about 5 times in last 6 months. It had been a good vehicle up to the last year.
