Grand Isle

I'm headed down to Grand Isle on a whim with my wife, kids, and a couple of their friends for New Years. House rental is nice and cheap this time of year, and it'll mainly just be a sit around and enjoy the quiet type trip. I've been to GI a couple times, but it's been a little while. I know things can change quickly, so I have a few basic questions. I know there are restaraunts there, but are they all open this time of year. Obviously, New Year's Day could be an exception. Then, is anyone selling boiled crawfish down there yet? My stepson's friend is coming in from California, and really wants to try them. That's pretty much it I guess. I'll probably go ahead and bring a rod to give the beach a brief shot if the weather holds out. So, if anyone has hit the beach lately, any reports there are welcome too!
