I was about to pull the trigger on some standard mapping files Ill give this a whirl first!! THANK YOU!

I wonder if I can import my fishing status data with these programs

You should be able too. From watching the video, all you doing is downloading an the google image on a card and uploading it on the gps unit. Nothing fancy. Then unit info is over layed on the image. Let my know how it works out for you.

Didn't watch the whole thing yet, but since you are already using an overlay from google maps can you still have the structure scan mapping overlay at the same time I wonder? He said he was using the Gen 1, but I'm not sure the Gen 1 even has the structure mapping overlay feature on it.

The guy said it isnt google maps. It seems More like the lus .modis satellite pic you get. Bc he changed the date/time to get a better image to download.

My computer is 10-7 [emoji35] and I cant do it on my tablet.

I downloaded the program, you can use a variety of satellite maps, even Navionics...

ok so I started this "process" you have to D/L each tile for each level of zoom, the tighter the zoom the more tiles you have to D/L and the amount doubles with each level of zoom, and you need about 8-10 (zoom level 16-24) levels of zoom to capture and image from the HWY bypass to the jetties on Big Lake, all the way down to your favorite spot and be able to see detail of your favorite shore line. Like I said the amount of tiles you have to D/L doubles with each level of zoom, so this has become VERY labor intense, especially once you hit level 18 zoom D/L those tiles, then on to level 19 which you tiles to D/L doubles, and then doubles, and then doubles...............

its all free, if you have the time and patience................ not sure I do

Sooo....Has anyone been able to do this yet?

I have some AT5s loaded to a card just haven't uncovered the boat to test.

Also have a power cord on order so I can power my unit from the couch. I'm getting into some serious mapping, purchased the Reefmaster software. its gonna make for a fun year, and new spots to try.
