Vermilion Bay 11/11/14

Not much to report as the catching was few and far between!:( We started out just after sunrise in the cove area and didn't get anything there. We then moved out to the Mud Point area where several boats were off a little ways from us. Caught a nice 25" red on a Vudu shrimp under a cork but that was about it. Really didn't see anyone else catching anything so we moved on to the mouth of the Avery to soak a few shrimp on the bottom. There were two other boats pulling in an occasional fish but all we caught were one channel cat and a small white trout. We then went across to the east end of Weeks Bay where there were probably 20-25 boats near the mouths of some of the bayous draining out of the marsh. We trolled around for a couple of hours and only managed one trout. Saw an occasional fish being caught every once in a while by other boats but not many. Finished off back in the cove for a few minutes without catching anything before going back to the landing around 1. I'm sure there are people catching well in certain areas on some days but I thought the catching would be more widespread by this time. Not sure where the fish are!
